Challonsleigh, Tavistock, Devon

(formerly home of Eric Trevenen James)

These documents were discovered in the summer of 2010, at the former home of Eric James, "Challonsleigh", Whitchurch, Tavistock, Devon, now owned by his stepson Geoffrey Fox (b. 1938), though he and his wife spend most of the year at their farm in Tanzania. In the summer of 2010 I made two visits to the Foxes in Devon, and Geoffrey Fox gave me all the papers he had.

This page catalogues those documents found at Challonsleigh, which cannot be associated with more specific catalogues.  At present these catalogues remain work in progress, with many papers not yet listed.
